A Well-Known Fact
In a Google search I just ran across the following:
"As is well-known, the definition of a homotopy between two continuous maps as we know it, for there were predecessors, was introduced by Brouwer in 1912 in his ground breaking work on the degree of a map."
Do any of you out there want to admit you didn't know this? Folks, if you're going to do any intellectual work, don't write like that.

Why would anyone google for the word "homotopy?" Maybe if a fella wanted explain something about his attraction to another fella...
Watch it there, mate! I was googling for "projectability," in fact.

As intellectuals always say, "my bad." I thought you were googling for 'homotropy,' which would be another *thang* altogether.
Now I shall find out if googling for "homotropic" yields links to Key West related sites.
