Warlords in Anarchy (Cool Pic!)
On the one hand, I'm disappointed that the accompanying graphic is far cooler than my article, but on the other, it's really mesmerizing. I suddenly feel the urge to go rent Flash Gordon.
We will limit this blog to comments on philosophy, religion, theology, economics, sociology, history, physics, mathematics, politics, current events, computers, sports, art, culture, programming languages, nightlife, travel, artificial intelligence, ethics, food, and secret sex tips gleaned from years spent with various Himalayan masters. So don't expect it to cover everything.

That pic isn't Flash Gordon, it's the hero of Mike Grell's late-1970s/early-1980s comic book The Warlord, about a pilot whose plane crashes into Skartaris, a Pellucidar-like world inside the Earth's core.
Check out the Warlord cover gallery here: http://www.mikegrell.com/gallery.jsp?gallery=0.
I knew it wasn't Flash Gordon, but it reminding me of Ming's (?) henchman from the movie.
