American Affluence
Overheard in a Gap store near the campus of Michigan State: "Instead of buying new clothes for tonight, I guess I could just do my laundry."
We will limit this blog to comments on philosophy, religion, theology, economics, sociology, history, physics, mathematics, politics, current events, computers, sports, art, culture, programming languages, nightlife, travel, artificial intelligence, ethics, food, and secret sex tips gleaned from years spent with various Himalayan masters. So don't expect it to cover everything.

I think this was actually a "tip" from a recent women's magazine. Also from the same magazine - don't go grocery shopping when you're hungry.
These are words to live by.
If they were really affluent they wouldn't be shopping at the Gap, and they certainly wouldn't be contemplating doing their own laundry!
