We will limit this blog to comments on philosophy, religion, theology, economics, sociology, history, physics, mathematics, politics, current events, computers, sports, art, culture, programming languages, nightlife, travel, artificial intelligence, ethics, food, and secret sex tips gleaned from years spent with various Himalayan masters. So don't expect it to cover everything.
I attended LSE's induction for new PhD candidates on Friday. (See, Jan, even LSE knows that induction is cool.) Our schedule was annnounced,, and we were told that the deadline for submitting our dissertations is September 30, 2009.

I hope they gave it to you. So many things could happen on September 29, 2009.
Don't I know it! I'm likely to be locked out of my flat, and I think the Tube will be on strike.
Plus the onset of dementia and all.
It's good to see so many seniors turning into life-long learners. You're a credit to your generation!
