Use In A Dishwasher?
I haven't paid much attention to the inner parts of my coffee maker, until today when I made a mess because I failed to close the door to the fiter basket during operation. After owning this machine for nearly six months I noticed that one of the fixed parts warns: "NOT INTENDED FOR USE IN DISHWASHER." (My apologies for the glare in the photo.)
Has anyone here tried preparing coffee in a dishwasher? Is there an advantage to preparing coffee this way?

I have the exact same coffee maker, and made the same comment to my wife.
Also, there's no power outlet in the diswasher. So you're basically screwed.

One way they do it is beautifully elegant. They advertise "free pr*n". All the user has to do to access the free content is to enter the word in the image. They grab an image off the blogger site and have the pr*n seeker type the letters, which they then copy into the captcha box below.

And do they actually give the free pr*n to the person, or is that a scam? I think it would be funny if the person typed in the word and then was redirected to Crash Landing. Talk about a ripoff.

If I was doing a regular expression search, yes. But, if I was a spammer trying to get past a spam filter, I might want to vary it a bit more.

How does that work - isn't the captcha being continuously reset, so that whatever prawn seekers type in elsewhere would be stale by the time the spammers try to use it here?

The removable parts are dishwashers safe, am I right? The point being that one should not put the BODY of the coffee maker into the dishwasher.
Of course their bad English is self-defeating, as any idiot who tries to wash the whole thing can still say, "hey - I didn't try to USE it in the dishwasher, but simply to WASH it, and your warning doesn't caution against THAT."

TT, I found the instruction booklet for my coffeemaker. It says that I can wash the grinder basket, basket lid, filter basket and filter basket cover on the upper rack of a dishwasher. It does not address that cleaning of the pot and its lid.
I learned tonight that I can remove the reservoir lid (in the photo) by tilting it at 60 degrees and gently pulling. The instructions do not state whether or not I can wash the reservoir lid in the dishwasher.
There are 24 appliance safegurads enumerated in the front of the booklet. I can't ignore Safeguard #12: Do not use appliance for other than intended use. My intended use of the appliance was for preparing coffee. I suppose there are some people who might use this kind of a coffeemaker to test their dishwasher. Fight it out with the manufacturer.
