Rationalism in Architecture
And its spectacular design failures. (Hat tip to Radley Balko.)
We will limit this blog to comments on philosophy, religion, theology, economics, sociology, history, physics, mathematics, politics, current events, computers, sports, art, culture, programming languages, nightlife, travel, artificial intelligence, ethics, food, and secret sex tips gleaned from years spent with various Himalayan masters. So don't expect it to cover everything.

Interesting that the government dynamited so many of Minoru Yamasaki's buildings...
Well, many of these projects have been demolished. Why is it interesting about his in particular? (I suspect a joke here, but I'm too dull to get it!)
Somebody please explain the joke to Gene:
In what would become common practice, the 33 apartment buildings of the Pruitt-Igoe project in St. Louis (right), which had been conceived by Minoru Yamasaki, who would later design the twin towers of the World Trade Center, were dynamited.
There is a conspiracy theory in the truther community that the twin towers of the World Trade Center were brought down by controlled explosives.
